S.A.P LEX
SUMMER AGRICULTURE PROGRAM IN LEXINGTON
What is S.A.P.LEX ?
SAPLEX which stands for Summer Agriculture Program in Lexington is one of our newest programs created back in 2020, meant to provide for us a way to harvest different types of African vegetables in order to serve our communities.
Agriculture plays an important role in development of countries. It builds strong economy through trades and serves as a way for helping families live healthy lifestyles. We took this initiative about 4 years ago as a way to help our african communities living in the US find African vegetables to eat!
Through the SAPLEX program, the RCDI is able to raise money by selling any of our harvested vegetables for income and using those revenue to help our communities in the DR. Congo! So far, the newly implemented program has been a success but still lacking some resources to fully operate.
